To get really good at what they do, medical students need to practise their interviewing and examination skills on real people.
As a member of the Volunteer Patient Program, you’ll help medical students learn the skills they need to become good doctors. You’ll get an inside look at medical training at ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ Medical School, and you’ll see students progress through the year as their skills and confidence build.
A pair of first-year medical students will practise taking your medical history and perform a non-invasive medical exam under the direction of their tutor, a fully-licensed physician. You can be completely healthy or have a pre-existing medical condition.
You can volunteer once or more than once – whatever your schedule allows. Sessions are Tuesday afternoons (1:30-3:30) and Thursday mornings (9:30-11:30) throughout the academic year (October – March).
