Do we mask ourselves with smiles and sweetness? Or can we truly be good to the core? With humor and humanity, actors sing, leap, and soar, sharing the tale of Brecht’s Good Soul of Szechuan. In Szechuan, where Gods walk among water sellers and heroin dealers, we find the only good person on earth. Shen Te, a woman too full of love to live in this world of greed, must put on a disguise of vice to keep her virtue. Bending genders and genres, the Good Soul of Szechuan makes you think while making you smile.
