Dalbox Access is a ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ Sandbox (DalBox) program being offered as an adaptation of Universities Canada’s IDeA Accessibility Challenge ().
Dalbox Access will follow Human Centred Design Thinking and embracing Social Innovation, this multi-faculty experiential program will support multidisciplinary student teams toward the development of solutions for persons with disabilities.
This program aligns with the post-secondary schedule, starting in early October 2021 and culminating with submissions to an internal competition in March 2022. There are financial rewards to the winners. Applications due by September 19 at 11:59PM (ADT). For more info and to apply visit
The DalBox Access programming will include regular sessions (Wednesdays, 5:30-8:30pm):
* to help interested individuals meet new people and form teams (diverse teams, each composed of students from at least 3 different Dal Faculties – it is likely many of you will not know one another – this is good!)
* to offer opportunities to work together in a mentored environment
* gain valuable skills to benefit your studies and potential careers
* to provide guidance and inspiration
* to facilitate key learning opportunities which will improve team collaboration and success
* transportation (from Truro to Halifax) and meals will be provided for in-person activities
* potential to win monetary rewards for your solution!
